Same way they do in the Harry Potter universe; pretend you’re doing magic WITHOUT any of the obvious signs that you’re doing magic. In the Harry Potter stories, that means appearing to do magic without a wand, or in the pony world, appearing to do magic without using your glowing unicorn horn.
