That’s partially true, but yes, finding mistakes in your work helps you improve quite alot :)

If you don’t like the quality you are making, it’s because you have good taste, and find it lacking.
You can do better!
I know that feeling all too well. In fact, I’m currently working on a SFM project. Even tough I know that I will probably never reach the level of quality that I dreamed of, I’m not letting that stop me in pursuit of my dream. Don’t give up hope and make it as good as you can. I’m sure that there are people who would love it :)
