I got through the White Palace before.

Having beaten the White Palace yesterday, I can fully say that Sunset reaction is 100% justified here.
 
My Celestia if she ever attempts the Path Of Pain.

This was the first time I ever broke down crying in a game. It was one of the last rooms, I had been trying the castle for a few hours now, and had just gotten to a hard spot.
 
Well I was high high up, almost to the end, taking advantage of the “hit by a saw you respawn in the Last safe area you stood on”. I made a leap for the next session. Oh no! I miss timed it!
 
So I tried doubling back, but nope, missed that platform too, and I fell far far down, missing all the spikes and saws down, before I hit a safe platform.
 
Right next to the entrance I came into the room from…

I was called a masochist because I tried to get through this with a defective keyboard  
Still hope to get through this someday

I once raged quitted on OE (Octo Expansion) because of this one level, I kept dying. I actually cried, but I finished the game about a year ago or this year.

That’s kind of the point, isn’t it? If you rush through it you’re most likely going to die.

I felt Sunset’s pain about a week ago…

This place was tedious to me. I didn’t die once, but it took me a while to get through. The worst part wasn’t the buzzsaws, it was those Goddamn retracting spikes near the very end.

That’s probably just the experience with that game type then. If it works for you that easily then I don’t think changing to controller will help much. In fact, it’ll probably hinder you, because you’re not used to it.

I never found this game to be hard on mouse on keyboard. I played a lot of metroidvania games like this, and never found it to be hampering in any way.

I beat the Radiance on my third try, and NKG on my seventh. Pantheon of Hallownest is just ludicrous, I don’t want to spoil it for you. But I tried and tried and tried for hours upon hours, and it just seemed undoable to me. I’m not going to give myself a stroke trying to beat it, not worth it.
 
Also you’ve been playing with mouse and keyboard? You absolute masochist, haha!

I like to believe that since I could beat the Radiance and Nightmare King Grimm, I can do the pantheons… maybe I should get a controller for this part of the game.

Pantheon 3 took me about 4 hours by itself. It’s no joke. Pantheon 4 is a tiny bit harder, but it’s mostly comparable to 3 in difficulty. And then it’s Pantheon of Hallownest.
 
And I’m going to be honest and admit it. I gave up on Pantheon of Hallownest. I wouldn’t hold it against you if you did too. It just unreasonable.

You haven’t seen anything until you’ve tried the Pantheon of Hallownest.

After over 30 attempts to beat the Radiance and Nightmare King Grimm, the White Palace seems almost laughable.

You want that good ending, you gotta work for it. Consider yourself fortunate that the Path of Pain is optional.
