But that still doesn’t help since I watched it for almost half of my life. I started watching it about 8 years ago and I’m almost 18…
Watching a show for that long will definitely make it hard to let it go, and that’s a good thing.
But when the final episode air’s and the second movie is released, that’s it.
And after that, onto gen 5 where hopefully it is as good as the generation.
I ’VE BEEN HERE ONLY 4 YEARS AND I FEEL LIKE THIS TOO!!!
Honestly, with the size of this fanbase and the rate of technological progress at hand, I would not rule out the creation of fan-based episodes that are actually good, in addition to the plethora of other content. Even if G5 didn’t happen or wasn’t good, the ride is forever.
But the comments are legendary.
Nice

Jesus loves the little ponies all the ponies of the world
Im going to say this now. If MLP pulls a stunt crap like taht hospital show, or Dallas…ill loose like 86% of my respect to the staff. Last minute twist endings like that are never funny.
Well…i like to think about it as an era. I f i think about it, with MLP being on those grounds it doesnt feel itll be so different than Transformers or the ninja turtles or Power Rangers, Dr Who.
There will be different incarnations…some would be more action oriented or comedic oriented. Some of them will be better than others, we dont know how will G5 be, but we can be gratefull for the memmories G4 gave. We got something good, something badm, and a bit of both and so long as people keeps making fanarts and keeping things alive, G4 wont end or vanish from our minds.
I knwo this will be one of the last letters we will get. But dont feel sad, part of the journey is the end. Show will wrap up after nine seasons, a movie and a human cast spinoff. When Gen 5 arrives, i will always think about the lessons and your teachings. itll always be about that.
Your faitful student
….
Basically.
Ah, the “subverting our expectations” route?

I don’t know. I honestly don’t really give a crap what they do, I just think it would be funny if the finale was as mediocre as it could possibly be. And that there would still be diehard fans out there who would passionately defebd and praise it.
How? By showing that Twilight is actually immortal and the ending is set 100 years after the events of the show?
I’VE BEEN PART OF THIS FOR SEVEN YEARS
WHAT IS LIFE WITHOUT PONE AGAIN?
Merchandise-Driven shows were practically unheard of before the 1980s, due to FTC regulations against advertising to children, which were mostly repealed in the early 80s as part of Reagan-era deregulation initiatives. Before then, cartoons almost never had corresponding toylines and vice versa. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, which debuted in 1983, is generally considered the first half-hour toy commercial.
In my case no, as long i keep making MLP fanart and as long the site exists, i will keep posting here
I honestly hope the series finale is a giant middle finger to the entire audience.
Yeah, those were the things I greatly appreciate from my time here. Looks like we’re gonna have to say goodbye forever… If it weren’t for the fact that Generation 5 is coming literally a few months afterward.
Like, c’mon, guys, don’t be so melodramatic. Some fandoms go entire years without a single peep of more official content - hay, most of them are left out in the cold with nothing but a goodbye from a studio and its staff, and the news that their favorite media is being cancelled due to low sales/viewership. It’ll be fine. We’ll be sad for a few months, some people will leave, some will stick around, and most will come back to see all the hubbub that G5 stirs up, and spread the word enough for a whole new generation of fans.
The ride. Never. Ends. After G5 will come G6, and then G7, and so on and so forth…
Is a part of our lives that won’t be erased.
