There are a ton of references but it’s never officially just said. It’s fun trying to figure it out. They are within a few hours of the “Rainy Coast” and seem to be near Dockland (Portland, Oregon) and Fort Vancouver (Vancouver, Washington). They are also not too far from Seaddle (Seattle, WA). One telling shot was from an episode I don’t remember the name of having a plane dropping mail off in Seattle, then a truck driving from Fort Vanchoover along a river which I assume is named something but I don’t know it’s name. But that would be based off the real Columbia River. So my estimates place them in a fictional area based somewhere in southwest Washington … whatever their equivelent is. Ponyville in this series is near mountains and near a lake called, Lake Altai. We don’t know what the smaller river is that runs through their town, but it can be assumed it flows into the BIGGER river. They also know they are near snowcapped mountains and get a lot of rain.
YES. There has been a ton of world building but it’s hard to pick an exact spot, lol.

Me too!

I guess the river makes more sense. Amazon is a river, so the river would be a more exact match. Moreover, the series has made many references to the Seattle/Portland area where the Columbia River flows.
The Amazon River runs through Colombia, so that works too.
Ahhhh I see. I thought it’s a reference to the South American country, but never thought about the river that flows close to the Washington city that this series is supposed to be based upon.
I blame the omnipresence of the name “Columbia” in the US :) when there’s a district, some cities, a world-famous brand, and even a university sharing the same name, connecting it to the river becomes difficult.
Columbia is correct. Amazon is a river or rainforest name. Columbia is a major river in the United State just like the Amazon is most well known as the river in Brazil. They spelled it right. I liked the references too. :)
Me: “Mine too.”
Dash just has to learn to speak their language.
… I mean “Stallions”.
