On Derpi the mods can be kinda rude and their .swf files don’t work well. Only webm and the tagging on derpi gets out of hand sometimes. E6’s mods are even worse asshats sometimes but they sort it out if you complain to higher mods about harassment. Over all I think if they both worked as a partnership and not a merge they could both learn from each other and improve the sites with newer techniques. And joint adverstising.

What I don’t like about e621 is that when images are merged, the comments from the old image are deleted (or at least that’s how it was the last time I was there, it’s been awhile).

No, that part will remain untouched. It’s the pony art that will be deleted. A lot of it already has been deleted or hidden away since Tumblr didn’t keep their word and started less then a day after the announcement.
