To be honest, I have a similar view on headcanon. I just wanted to make sure there isn’t any official Chrysalis side story I’m unaware of that everyone considers canon, like with the Scootaloo lives with her aunts thing I keep hearing about.

This is why I don’t really mind that the show leaves so many story possibilities unexplored; they could maybe do a little better at expanding their universe, but the fewer things get explicitly pinned down, the more room there is for fanfic and headcanon to fill in the gaps with interesting stories.
