Given that it’s already the 21st here in New Zealand, I’m predicting…fuck all will happen. Nothing happened here (then again, according to popular culture, nothing bad ever happens here), and I’m pretty sure nothing bad will happen when the 21st, or the 23rd, 27th, or 31st comes about elsewhere

While I agree that something big’s gonna happen on 12/23/2012 I highly, highly doubt it’ll be the end of the world, on the ground that every time a mortal has ever predicted the end of the world that day comes and goes like all the days before it.
