The way I look at this, we have to let Starlight have her own time with her best friend Trixie.  
We all don’t have to disturb their private time during this wonderful hearts warming eve and let us all hope they both bring their ear plug during this so they can sleep well.

It wasn’t really problem.  
Starlight had too much roles she needed some break. Give her time alone 1 n’ 1 to be with Trixie without pushing her into stories.
 
Hasbro did that so fandom can make their own look and perspective on their adventures during Best Gift Ever.

In the season 5 finale, we saw Starlight bucking apples with Applejack, flying around with RD, interacting with cute little animals with Fluttershy, trying on Rarity’s dresses, and cooking with Pinkie pie. Then there was none of that for 3 seasons.
 
Dear lord, I want episodes where she is hanging with them. Is that too much too ask?

I wish they would put Starlight into more episodes involving the other 5 of the Mane 6. There is so much lost opportunities for stories there. Interactions between themselves have been getting slightly repeptive, (how many blasted times are we going to see AJ and RD competiting with each other and so on) so putting Starlight in adventures with them seperately would add such a breath of fresh air. I, myself, would love a Starlight/Fluttershy episode or a Rarity/Starlight one.
