I recognized your art style by the way that you drew Lickety Split’s face, and specifically her eyes. I can’t really explain why I noticed that, but your art style looks nice.

We all know that any kind of work flows better when we’re on our best spirit for it, regardless you have always made present your skill even if motivation wasn’t plenty.
 
The piece is great and deserves all the praise it gets, congratz!

It’s cute. As has been said already, when you look at your own work you’ll always see the faults more.
 
I know I do. Don’t think I’ve ever been a hundred percent happy with anything I’ve drawn.
 
When you look at someone else’s artwork, even if you’re being hyper critical, you’ll not see it as bad as the one who created it.
 
With this piece, I really can’t fault it. It’s still in a different league to anything I could produce.

I think the problem comes when one knows that is capable of something much better but achieving something of lower quality than desired. Of course, there are many reasons why this might happen, whether because of stress or other external circumstances, but still, at the end of the day is disappointing.
 
Though, in my opinion, the usual lack of satisfaction, as long as it’s moderated, it’s part of the fuel for improving. Otherwise, if it’s too much it can drive you to frustration to yourself and even desired to not work on art for a while…

Exactly. It can be rare for an artist to be entirely satisfied with their own work. They constantly seek improvement while us spectators are none the wiser and are happy just to see a few kewt pones! :P
