Nature is a terrifyingly perverted mistress, and yet I must know more

I am aware of ducks corkscrew genitals XD.
Not 100%, but it’s a pretty reasonable assumption. If you want to see extreme examples of evolutionary warfare look up what the common duck’s reproductive systems look like. “True facts about the duck” is a youtube video that will never let you look at them the same way again.
Is that really the origin of penis shape?
You seem to be under the illusion that people are naturally peaceful. Look at any other animal on this earth, social or not, to see why that’s a fantasy. We put on airs but ultimately we’re just another animal, motivated by the three F’s. Feed, fuck, fight. Feed is self explanatory, fuck is reproduction through any means necessary (the tip of the human penis isn’t shaped like that for pleasure, but to extract the semen of rivals), and the will to fight to maintain the first two. We’re a social species, so we form a hierarchy naturally, which in turn leads to rules from the guy or gal at the top. This isn’t much different from a government, you can challenge the top spot, but you’ll receive punishment if you’re unsuccessful. You can defy the rules, but you’ll receive punishment if you’re found out. Anarchy wouldn’t change this, it would only make breaches of these rules more common, as the odds of being discovered would be lower.
As for all the guff about AI, at that point you’re into the realm of baseless extrapolation. A truly sentient AI would be unlike anything else we’ve seen, with motivations all of it’s own. Oh and empathy isn’t really exclusively human, hell not even all humans exhibit it to the same degree. It’s somewhat unique to species that have a sense of self, but even then trying to define emotions rigidly like that is a big ol mess.
When I was talking about AIs I was talking about intelligent but non-sentient systems, not sentient AI, that way it could manage things independently without ever having a will of its own. Still your need plenty of failsafes to make sure it doesn’t grow out of control due to poor programming
Sorry for not responding for a few days; I have been busy. Anyway: First of all, oppressive hierarchies are a real thing, and a real problem, so don’t just put quotation marks around them, because it’s a thing. Chances are you live in a society with an oppressive hierarchy (I’m not assuming though just in case you live in an anarchist community or something). Second of all, structure can exist in anarchy, but it’s not the kind of structure like government. It can exist in either tribe form or community/commune form. In a way it’s structure, yes, but it’s non-oppressive and egalitarian. Third of all, anarchy can exist in all quantities. Examples: Communities/communes, which you acknowledge can exist, and in fact do currently exist across the world. Revolutions, which are reactions to oppressive states, operated by the people, the size of the former oppressive state, which is a notable geographic size. Sometimes these reactions can lead to entire nations being formed or reformed in the form of anarchy (an example of this being the United States from the Declaration of Independence until the constitution came into power). The entire planet was under anarchy before government existed also. Fourth of all, this is about ANARCHY here, not democracy. Direct democracy and mob rule isn’t anarchy; it’s democracy. Like I said earlier, anarchy can come in all sizes, and has throughout history, and inevitably will happen again globally in the future. Yes, you can leave everything up to choice. That’s what anarchy is all about. There shouldn’t be unbreakable rules. That idea is stupid and outdated. All rules get broken. It’s not up to you to control what others do. It should be up to you to look at yourself, and ask what you can do to be a better person. Also, anarchy isn’t a system. You can have economic systems in anarchy, but anarchy itself is LACK of a system. Actually, people would do what they want no matter how many people agree on it. Seeking approval is conformity. Again, structure doesn’t always mean government. Like I said earlier, anarchy can exist in tribes, communities or communes. You can freely form a structure. I know what you mean though: government. “A proper society needs to meet in the middle”. What is considered proper is extremely subjective, therefor this statement is invalid automatically. Also, not to mention the word “proper” is used to promote authoritarian ideologies or conformist behaviours, so really we need to stop using that word unironically. What you’re advocating for is centrism, which is still very dangerous and still gets many people killed. Political ideologies are mostly based off of government. Even just having a little bit of government will get people killed and cause violence. We cannot have this. This is where anarchy comes in, challenging order, unnatural structure, violence and oppression. Really, ANY government should be enough for people to revolt. The reason why that doesn’t happen is because people are comfortable with fairly moderate ideologies, and brainwashed by their states they love so much, believing they have enough freedom, being cited the freedom they have as proof. The problem is, humans need total freedom. Government is extremely unnatural, violent, unequal and restricting. Humans are naturally curious, adventurous and yes, make mistakes. Consequences placed in by the state are not meant to be, and are just people considered above others imposing their will on the ones considered lower than others. There’s such a thing called science, that lets people know if something they’re doing is wrong or not. If they get hurt or if something bad happens, than humans naturally learn and evolve from it. Empathy allows humans to feel this same way for others too, allowing humans to realize the importance of not killing each other. This empathy is morphed by the state, installing violent propaganda, violent institutions, violent threats and violent substances and chemicals into people, warping the once natural peace within humanity and turning it into a violent society (AKA every country that exists). You can never have too much freedom. The more freedom you have, the more human you are. The more adventurous you are, the more empathetic you are, the more equal you are, and the more peaceful you are. It’s good that a system collapses, as they all deserve to. Let them collapse, and let freedom reign. By the way, anarchy isn’t chaos. I’d honestly call people being manipulated by an artificial entity to kill others chaotic, not anarchy.
These robot societies you are thinking of are pure fascist fantasy. If one is to happen, it will kill all humans. It is impossible to create AI so powerful and more capable than humans and not have them eliminate all human life. AI’s are not human, which means they are incapable of empathy. Since they would be engineered by humans to be more powerful and capable of taking on tasks than humans, they would destroy humans, seeing them as obsolete, slave masters and inferior intellectually and physically, therefor, they would see no reason for humans to exist. AI killing humans is inevitable if we keep going in this direction of technological advancement. However, in the future, we will realize that technological advancement is literal suicide for all humans. The only way this AI ruled society is possible is if government and/or corporations keep pushing for this new form of fascism, and its will would be more powerful than the peoples’ realization of the dangers of technology. Luckily though, before we get to this point, government will be abolished entirely worldwide, so it will be impossible for humans to get to this point… assuming it’s not too late. Technology is growing, and growing exponentially. We need to be careful at what we mess with, and we need to realize this NOW. Humans are smart, but most do not fully realize the dangers of technology. We need to realize that this path of technological advancement toward this eventual fascist technocratic future would be the extinction of our species. And when we realize this, we need to stop government and corporations from further developing technology (this is assuming we didn’t get to the point of global anarchy yet. Which by the way, when it happens, we’d be smart enough to realize how dangerous technology is, and would stop developing it any further at this point). It’s for our own safety. Technology can be a tool, like the internet for example, but it can also be evil, dangerous and deadly. Before you try to make AI’s aware, make yourself aware of the fact that self-aware AI’s would be the demise of all humanity.
Yeah. Could always happen plus nanotech also has very lethal potential. I’d say more so than bots or ai.
Yes, although we are FAR from creating one today. We’d have to find a way to create intelligent but non-sentient AI to run it and make sure they have failsafes preventing them from turning into a paperclip maximizer scenario. Doesn’t mean it’ll never happen though…
That is an awesome site!
Autotopia
I highly doubt robots would have it programmed in them to want to kill their makers, even still they’d likely have a failsafe to prevent that from ever happening. Plus humans have emp’s.
You’d have no “oppressive hierarchies” but you’d have no structure, an anarchy could only really work with a small group of individuals, I mean do you really think a nation composed of 100s of millions could operate based on direct democracy/mob rule. Plus you can’t leave everything up to choice, there’s gotta be some unbreakable rules to structure the system around, or people could just do whatever they want if enough of them agree on it. It’s a matter of structure vs freedom, a proper society needs to meet in the middle, to much structure and the people grow angry and revolt, to much freedom and the whole system collapses under its own chaos

Oh, it will happen in the future, once most people (including people in government in the first place) realize that violence, order, putting people above others and stupid rituals that mean nothing are the wrong way to go and are unnecessary and stupid. I wouldn’t count on robots doing everything for us though, because 1: if robots become intelligent enough to perform really difficult tasks to the point where they’re able to do what we can, they wouldn’t serve us, they’d kill us, and 2: humans probably won’t let them get to this point because most people would realize what a potential danger they are to us. I agree with everything else you said though. We should absolutely give it a chance.
I agree. Lets give it a chance. It’ll be implemented anyway when either society falls or robots do everything for us.

Of course they’re serious. Anarchism is equality in its purest form. No hierarchies putting people above others whatsoever.

That was awesome but ok
Thank Celestia there’s a good mix of both in this fandom instead of an insufferable tyrannical majority in either direction
Just a bunch of liberals and right-wing guys here
