In Denmark but the episode is in Swedish.
They turn into nirik, a fiery alternative form when they are angry. It was the point of the episode: Kirins started arguing once and they became very angry with every member of the village, so their leader decided they have to cool down their emotions in the Stream of Silence. Then they lost ability to speak and turn into the nirik but that one kirin, Autumn Blaze didn’t go in that stream, wanted to convince other kirins to speak again but it didn’t work so Fluttershy and Applejack helped her
And what happened to these two kirin to change their looks?
It is already surprising that it aired in Japan at all considering how of a rarity is for a western cartoon to air in Japan nowadays
