There was a point at conventions this year, where we could not…NOT stop watching the Missing Links episode of Ducktales, with 2 very special guest voices.
We loved Briar and Bramble so much, it was impossible not to do this.

Oh, in an out-of-myth sense there’s a ton of explanations for it. I’m saying I’ve never head an in-myth reason for kelpies to drown people.
“don’t touch horses that aren’t yours”
is the motive if you will. They’re a cautionary tale. Stop people in ye olde days from getting killed/reprimanded for doing stuff to noble/high class horsies.
I know kelpies drown people, but I’ve never heard a motive for it.
They’re kelpies, that’s what they do. Drown people for fun and food.
