Sorry about that, you’d be surprised how many people (even on here) have little knowledge of equine terminology, I wasn’t trying to be rude or anything :)
You make a very good point which I utterly failed to take note of with regard to her manner of speech here, it doesn’t make too much sense now that I look at it… I think some level of not-making-sense fits this pony, though.
I am fully aware of that. It just puzzles me that she said she was a foal before she was a filly. It’s like a human saying she was a baby before she was a girl.
Foal is rather like us saying baby, it’s a neutral term.
Filly is a young female horse/pony, colt is a young male horse/pony
Mare is adult female, Stallion is adult male.
Gelding is unlucky, I suppose.
If humans can do it, so can other animals!
