The Count of Monte Cristo -Letter to Mareseilles
Cover art for the first chapter of my story, “My Little Ponys’ The Count of Monte Cristo”
Based upon the scene where Empress Nightmare Moon aka Napoleon Bonaparte’ has decided to use Edmond/Shining Dantes’ trusting, innocent nature to her advantage. In this case, by tricking him into delivering a letter for somepony important, yet anonymous in his home of Mareseilles. He’s convinced it’s a good-willed letter, and happily accepts this little token. Then again, it’s either this, or let his general die in the medical ward.
So not much choice there.

Trust me: he’d wish that were the case. But given what happens to him later after this, it’s clear that that letter basically is the seal of his doom.
