Description

Once apon a time in galaxy far far away, I had grand plans for a series of comics, based on an alternate future to the timeline of the Fallout: Equestria fanfic, in which peace was made before the bombs fell. One of my story ideas was of Nurse Soft Heart having recurring dreams of living a very different life in the postwar Equestrian wasteland as a medic for a trade caravan. Eventually she would start to question which life was real, and which truly needed her.

Duck - "someone befriended them, saved them, coaxed them out of their shell, and showed them that sex is nothing to be afraid of. I’m kind of envious of that rape victim"

oh, that’s an interesing idea. I was just thinking about the “why am I even here” thing nurse ponies went through in the hopeless situation right after the bombs fell.

it’d be especially weird if it seemed that the two crises were causing each other, making both lives seem impossible and unreal.

if you do ever make it, keep in mind equestria was pretty inhospitable for a while after the bombs fell. so, if you want her to feel more needed in the peaceful world, set the story soon after the war, where in her dreams the best medic in the universe would have to helplessly watch her patients die of irreparable radiation poisoning, horrific burns, and lethal toxins saturating the land and air. if you want her to feel more needed in the war-torn world, set the story long after the war, when the balefire has burned out, and the poisons have mostly dispersed.
