In “The Princess Promenade”, everypony becomes a princess.
In the opera “The Gondoliers” by Gilbert and Sullivan, the Grand Inquisitor sings an aria about a king who felt bad for people who were poor and promoted everyone to the top of whatever their occupation was. Except that when everyone holds a special rank it cheapens the position.
So the caption is therefore ironic. All the ponies are princesses, so the title means nothing.
