Description
The comics’ Wind Whistler is completely different to the TV show’s egghead. Here we see her being lectured by Cotton Candy (official Ponyland nurse and herbalist!), some random woodland critter, and some kind of Rolfaroo in convict drag. The shame is absolute.
Folklore-iffic terms of the day: beechmast, knots in May. By now I’m just assuming that these comics tended to get this stuff right because they doubled as unofficial training manuals for apprentice hedge witches.

But yeah. Her characterization in the UK Fact File and the US backcard sort of agree. Pony Spock belongs to the cartoon only, and it makes me sad. Mostly because the TV/movie contrast between her and Fizzy helps make whistlefizz such a glorious ship, if I’m honest.
Apparently his Spock attitude was something exclusive from the cartoon.
