When everyone in the room looks attracted to rarity and everybody in the room isnt attracted to discord. The fandom tends to relay that but the opposite direction.

Looks like Rarity wins the score here of disguising to fit in with the kids.

That was always obvious to the show runners. Equestrian ponies are all mostly over 20 and only CMC and Student6 are considered underage (also Spike) but in Equestria Girls, most characters are at best senior highschool students who are not yet 18

Yeah, that’s what I said, 23-24 being the present age of Rarity, and by extension Fluttershy and Applejack. They even worked out the timing of Zephyr’s graduation compared to Maud’s by the difference in their degrees, his taking three years at the most being a specialty.

Fluttershy’s younger brother graduated college so Fluttershy is at least 23. Or actually at least 24 considering its been another hearthwarming eve and at least 9 month passed in Non compete Clause.

I’ve always read Rarity and Cheerilee to be contemporaries and significantly older than the Mane 6—not old enough to be their parents but maybe about 3 or 4 years older than Fluttershy (who I read as next-oldest).
 
The problem with that interpretation is that it would have Rarity have been a blank flank as a filly for far longer than the other 5.

Somebody did math based on the school system being parallel to ours and summer camp and Moondancer presumably being in college, etc., that episode 1, Twilight, Pinkie, and Rainbow were 18-19; and Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity were 19-20. We’ve had at least 4 years passed based on Hearth’s Warming episodes, so Rarity’s 23-24. Spike’s 18-19 as well, so pretty much a legal adult between that pony standard and the fact that in dragon culture, wings mean you’re fully responsible for yourself (the premodern definition of adulthood).

she isn’t young. Meghan mcCarthy said she was a grown adult in a video like the rest of the mane six. if you mean young adults, sure but they sure as hell are not teenagers and never been portrayed to be.
