Just because Discord slips back into some of his old habits from time to time doesn’t he’s regressed as a character. Fluttershy, for instance, still struggles with shyness, yet she’s nothing like the pony she was in season 1. And while scaring the students was definitely going too far, no one actually got hurt. As for Fluttershy and the rest Mane 6, the fact they chastised Discord mainly over wasting their time by sending them on a fake friendship mission and never brought up once anything about the perils they might have faced suggests they were never in any particular danger.

Oh yeah a good episode: it was so good that it regressed Discord as character by almost making the students hurted and by pointlessy putting his best friend in danger with a “diversion”. _

Please Writers, give us more eps like this in the rest of the season. Not like Yakity Sax or A Matter of Principals….
