…Uh… No, Tartarus isn’t the Greek afterlife. It’s a prison in the Underworld.
So, yet another form of media that gets Greek mythology wrong.
That’s Tartaurus in-universe, and it’s not an afterlife, it’s a physical place.
And it is fiery in the pony universe, we get glimpses of it in the Season 4 finale.
The MLP-verse afterlike is the Greek underworld.
Unlike what most media would suggest, the Greek Underworld is NOT Hell…it’s a morally-neutral afterlife. Even the “bad” part of the Underworld (Tartarus) isn’t close to the Abrahamic Hell.
