Sci-Twi should’ve been given wings when she became a pony

That doesn’t make sense

Sci-Twi is not an alicorn.

I’m still confused…

You know what would have been HILARIOUS?
 
If she ended up being a Pegasus instead!

I think in this movie/special she gain her wings.  
But i hoppe we can see alicorn Sunset.

But she still had wing after getting the geodes, even as recently as “Rollercoaster of Friendship”, so why not now? If it’s a retcon, I’d be fine with it except she needed them to help defeat Gaea Everfree, so you can’t just pretend it was aways this way without invalidating the plot. Granted, it’s the one time they actually were used.
 
Maybe she’s only an alicorn when “ponied up” but she’s still a unicorn in her normal form (ie, she become an alicorn if she “ponied up” as a pony).
 
Or maybe we should wait and see if the show actually explains it making all this debate and speculation retroactively pointless.

Wings as human.

This is maybe whats happen: Sci-Twi has her powers from Twilight from Equestria, the princess of friendship. Meanwhile Sci-Twi in our world, she’s not a princess, but receive her powers from princess Twilight.  
Maybe that’s why she doesn’t have wings there.

I mean she didn’t really do the whole ascension thing and the pony up forms don’t have horns so they are a different type of (friendship) magic. And then there was stealing magic.

Maybe….Sci-Twi becomes a unicorn, you know that now that contradicts the previous movies … well maybe the wing was only temporarily, because in EG 3 absorbed the magic of the Rainbooms and after obtaining the geodes, the magic of Sci-Twi was regulated to the power of a normal unicorn.
 
Or maybe….just… many people missed the unicorn Twilight Sparkle.
