You know what? I like all the characters. What I don’t like are plot holes induced by poor writing.
 
Such as the way that, out of completely thin air, Twiley suddenly gained both a big brother AND a favourite foalsitter in “A Canterlot Wedding”, when previously she had had a completely solitary upbringing out of choice. An then they did it again later, by introducing her old Canterlot friends who had never been previously mentioned at all. Her fillyhood was not as secluded as she made out (or more to the point, they kinda shoehorned extra characters into her past where there shouldn’t have been room)
 
Now let me just repeat - I like all of these characters. But the writing to explain their presence in Twiley’s life raises quite a few questions…

Twilight Sparkle, Starlight Glimmer and Sunset Shimmer are all the same character, the same shitty character with bloated importance, absurd fortune and talent, instant forgiveness and support for their “charming” flaws. They are mary fucking sues, deal with it.
