You mean that Tempest was the second pony to petrified a Crystal Princess? First Amore, and now Cadance. Cadance’s petrification in the film is just like one thousand years ago because back then, a Crystal Princess was petrified into a statue and been dethroned by an evil king (which is an usurper). But now is different. A different Crystal Princess and a different evil king. And yes. Because I said usurper, when King Sombra overthrow Amore and when the Storm King overthrow Twilight, Cadance, Celestia, and Luna along with Shining Armor and Flurry Heart, both King Sombra and the Storm King were never real kings of Equestria.

I know forgiveness is a big thing in Equestria, but Cadance is surprisingly chummy with the same mare who petrified her….

The princess thing makes even less sense when more traditional ones exist in this world

Tempest’s explanation for defeating the princesses so quickly makes sense. If your going to capture a target much stronger than yourself, you wouldn’t waste any time trying to fight them.

So now even Tempest is on the running joke of having no idea why we should care about Cadance… and she probably has no idea how insecure Cadance is about it.
