It could easily take several years.  
Plans can always change, especially if enough people are showing their interest.  
It would also make sense to continue with G4 for a while.

Oh, it won’t. You misunderstand. In classic Starlight writing, her actions and EFFORT will be tiny and half-hearted, but somehow the effectiveness will inversely still be hall of fame worthy and not be in vain.
 
Granted, she’ll still die in such a scenario where they decide to kill her off, insert ’ but people die when they are killed ’ joke here, but it will be less likely due to she made an ultimate sacrifice, and more likely she got herself killed doing something…
