This is an older piece of mine. I actually have been doing that lately. Which is why I’ve made so little in the last year. It’s a lot harder to get pieces that are layered properly to make a better animation.

I’ve never been a fan of this style of animation. Distorting a still image always looks weird to me…

that is the problem with cheap animation edits. the waving mane doesnt make sense at all. static lightning in the BG, distorting the existing parts of the picture. everything here is just lazy. thrown into AE and smashing wave effects on it. boom. insta favs from people how just too easy to flash by moving pictures. even if they dont make sense at all. and this artist here cant do anything else than that and gets praised for it for some reason. if he only would start working like htpot. seperating the different parts of the body and background. just to be able to animate properly. but hell no. that would be work.
