This was done from the perspective of a camera. Meaning no depth perception. Close one eye and you’ll get the same effect.
Needs more episodes with Sunburst visiting Starlight or vice versa. It gives Starlight a non-vanilla personality. She’s the creeper archtype like Lola from Loony Tunes Show.
 
Yeah, you’re actually right. It does work with only one eye.

Misty is best pony
I briefly took off my glasses to look at this image and it had a very weird effect. But yeah, that’s definitely not how someone with glasses sees things. Even when you’re putting them on, you don’t see the glasses that clearly. Instead, you see a double image where the image of the glasses for each eye kind of overlaps. If you focus on the glasses themselves, then obviously everything else gets blurry.

Well at least she wasn’t watching him sleep. At least we didn’t see if she was peeking through the key hole before she barged into that room.
