Those were around even at the time of my comment but I was only counting the show and not other things such as the IDW comics and Gameloft game.
I just looked and my message was in a reply to one that said Just like (canon) griffin names start with a hard G. So yeah, we knew about those.

Named my Sunbutt sunday Griffon, Glenda Gullwind in the same vein.
I always noticed the G pattern since the third griffon but the fact it was also always a hard G specifically didn’t occur to me until during my earlier comment. No soft G like George or Giovanni or Genevieve.
Kind of want to research the total number of hard G names to see the risk of them running out.

I have drawn now 2 comics for IDW, but neither one is out yet.
He eventually was hired to do some work for IDW. A cover I think it was, I don’t think he did an entire story (not at the time I heard this news anyway, maybe that has changed since then).
