Yesterday, I read “Anywhere But Here fanfic written by P-Berry. The story touched my soul and broke into a thousand pieces. And I loved it! This picture inspired by that fanfic.

Jet (the stallion) and Delta met in college and started a relationship. As their studies drew to a close, Delta was offered a job at EQSA, Jet was afraid to lose her to her career and convinced her to go out and have one last drink together. They both got shitfaced, Delta ended up pregnant with Apogee(the filly). They tried their best to make it work, but broke up eventually, with Delta believing that Jet got her pregnant intentionally. The picture you see is depicting what happened moments after their breakup, with Jet being sad about having lost Delta, but grateful that he still has his daughter. Delta, the love of his life, is out of the picture (for now, anyway) but he still has Apogee as a sort of light in his life.
That’s what happened - to the best of my knowledge, at least.
