Formatting. Sometimes portal travel formats you into a comparable body type already existing in it.
I think it’s due to the mirror making them near identical to another of “them” in this world, this including attire. In fact, the only visually thing different between the two twilights was their hairstyle.
i think it like when in digimon 02 the new digidestend went through the portal. they just went with it
