Description

Wrote a lot of headcanon shit about undead ponies and needed/wanted a few single solo vectors to accompany them. Yes I’ve done him a couple dozen times, but never like this!

Must suck to constantly ruin your clothes via bleeding colored blood as often as normal ponies piss. Here’s a link to the full SVG of his shirt design as I spent three hours tracing it. WORTH IT, even if envelope deformation makes it look like garbage. No doubt I’ll make him wear it again. Because sanic. I love making him wear sanic.

If this isn’t safe, I’ll eat my shirt, but I’m pretty sure it is as it’s not that gross and it’s not painful. It’s normal for a zombie.

Anywhere, here’s a link to the older/more general undead pony headcanon stuff and then below will be a blockquote filled with more new specific stuff to zombies.

Zombies look the closest to their still-living Earth Pony counterparts, however their eyes lose some of the sparkle they once had, and instead of ageing normally, they deteriorate over time and look worse as time passes. Because their bodies cannot heal properly anymore, zombies often have numerous scars and open cuts. Because of this, a lot of zombies usually learn how to sew themselves up so they fall apart slower. It’s difficult, but it’s absolutely necessary if they want to stay in one piece for as long as possible.
Zombies produce a seemingly endless amount of blood, and this blood leaks out of them numerous times per day. Blood usually leaks from their nose or mouth, but it can leak from any orifice, including ears or anus. This is normal and in fact a sign that there’s nothing wrong with them. If a zombie stops leaking blood for too long for whatever reason, that’s a sign of something going wrong inside. Zombies often have blood that is not red, or is multiple colors. This is also normal and seems to be influenced by personality.
A zombie’s organs still work, in a way. They’re slower than normal and their hearts don’t beat, and they’re only kept working from their magic organ inside of them. Zombies can also play with and manipulate their organs in ways that normal ponies cannot beyond surgery or dealing with immense pain. In fact, zombies often open themselves up and check to see if their organs are still working properly, or adjust them inside. Zombies can still eat, expel waste, and even perform sexual acts, though they tend to be less receptive to the idea than other ponies and prefer to not do the latter. They also jizz blood, which can be weird to other ponies.
Zombies tend to lead solitary lives as they find dealing with normal living ponies difficult as it’s hard to find a pony that isn’t weirded out at constant nosebleeds and blood stains on all their clothes and furniture. They usually avoid finding mates too, as it’s even harder to find ponies who will accept and love them for what they are. Zombies often have emotional issues related to having to deal with constantly falling apart and being shunned by society, which doesn’t help their cases any. Modern times have been getting better for them however, and ponies are getting more receptive.
Zombies don’t deal well with extreme temperatures, extreme cold can freeze them from the inside-out and if their magic organ freezes and stops for too long, they essentially ‘die’. Due to this, zombies usually avoid living in places that it can get too cold in, and often wear extra layers of clothes to conserve the little body heat they have. Extreme heat is no better, zombies will literally fall apart in extreme heat and humidity, and it’s even rarer for a zombie to live in a warm place.
Rumor has it that the frontcolt of a band and the founder of a clothing line is a zombie. He’s openly discussed his cursed appearance on numerous occasions, but most ponies still think it’s faked with effects and tattoos.

It suddenly occurs to me that Rarity’s reanimated corpse would be absolutely immaculate. You probably wouldn’t even be able to tell she was dead.

Also wow… I really wish that sounded less creepy.

Notoriously Divine Tagger - Consistently uploads images above and beyond the minimum tag requirements. And/or additionally, bringing over the original description from the source if the image has one. Does NOT apply to the uploader adding several to a dozen tags after originally uploading with minimum to bare tagging.

There must definitely be more pleasant ways to spend an afternoon.

So… what I’m getting from this is that zombies are inevitably doomed to fall apart and deteriorate to the point that they should no longer be able to move, and the most they can do is put off the point at which this will happen?
