Fair enough.
I’ve seen A Royal Problem. Was nice, although a bit too fast-paced. And I know what the finale was about.
The point is, it’s just difficult for me to watch. There’s a lot of moments where I want nothing but to close the player and go do something else.
And again, it’s just my opinion, I’m not, like, totally blaming it and calling it shit. Maybe show just turns to different goals, like Adventure Time did when it became not so adventurous but more phylosophic. It’s not totally bad, it’s just something I don’t like as much as old MLP. If you liked it, I don’t want to argue about it and look like a duck.
So you missed out on some great episodes like “A Royal Problem”, “The Perfect Pear” and the finale and you think you can judge the whole season from that?*
Get out and don’t come back until you’ve done your homework.
*Then again, if you’ve got an issue with Starlight or if you want to keep intact the mystery about Applejack’s parents as well, I’m afraid I can’t help you here…

Yes how dare they actually give as her actual parents instead of leaving it to fan interpretation(which isn’t too far off from just being lazy)

Idk, I’ve seen five or six episodes from it, and they all were somewhat cringy and didn’t fill my expectations here or there.
Like, the first double epizode? Just a lot of Stralight and nothing actually impressive. “A Flurry of Emotions”? This little thing acts like a total jerk while everyone is fiddling with her, but when Twilight tries to legitimately scold her, it’s displayed as if Twi was a bad one here. “Parental Glideance”? Wasn’t actually bad on itself, yeah, but it broke the whole mystery about the Dashie’s parents, and now… well, she lost a bit of her awesomeness for me. Plus, her parents did act unnaturaly and cringy too.
Well, I’m not trying to say that the season was actually bad, it’s just that I don’t feel it the way I felt previous ones, most of the epizodes are difficult for me to watch and… it just kinda lost its beautful, adveturous and magical atmosphere.
I personally don’t like to judge seasons as a whole, especially in an episodic show like this. May I ask why you didn’t like about season seven, and would you say it was a problem with the individual episodes or an overarching problem?

It is true.
It very much was. Look at the “Alicorn Drama” tag to see for yourself. Some fans even left the fandom and stopped watching the show when it happened. But others eventually grew to like Twilight despite her new wings (and there were some that still disliked it but were tired of the drama so they just contined watching but didn’t make a huge deal about it).
