I had this headcanon that Gilda would make a better teacher than Twilight, for a noble and active gryphon such as Gallus. Twilight is too organised, but Gilda loves a good challenge and adventure!

Or a member of the Wonderbolts. I suspect that the show writers wanted him to be associated with Rainbow Dash and her stubborn-ness, or a little reference to Gilda as RD’s friend.
