There are very few fan examples of Sunburst outright confronting Starlight over her faults and vices.  
This one makes my heart break, but that just means the story is good.  
I hope this ends well still.

Heh. And here I thought I was the only one thinking people were completely dismissing that those timelines never actually happened. Another thing people totally disregard is that destroying the timelines multiple times was never a her plan, nor was it a part of her plan. The world practically dying if they never met never crossed her mind. I honestly can’t blame Starlight for thinking that Twilight was making stuff up just to try and stop her.

The two main reason is that her backstory/childhood heel turn was too rushed and not fleshed out enough which make her look like she’s got angsty when Sunburst left her when they were young and that people overanalysed the time travel shenanigans in the Season finale when Starlight messing with the timeline end up in a “wasteland” timeline.IMO it’s like when people accuse Twilight of being a murderer when she sent those clones,mere exagerated reflections and parody of Pinkie Pie to the Mirror Pool.Starlight merely created possibilites/expandable timeline and sent back everything to normal therefore the Ashland timeline never “truly” happenned.It’s like getting pissy at Doc Brown for messing up in Back to The Future,in the end every timeline mess-up is solved like nothing happened aka Problem solved

I’m honestly more interested in what happens with these two in this comic than the main plot of Twilight and Spike.

Sassy bitchiness aside. I just wanna understand what exactly is everyone’s beef. At this point, it seems like people want to hate her. She would give her life to saving someone and people would still go on about how horrible she is. People criticize and complain no matter what she does like there’s something deplorably wrong with her or something. Which can be seen as hypocritical considering you can technically make the same criticisms to every other character that has had as much screen time as her.

Good thing this is just fan interpretation. The canon reason is a lot more simple. Mainly caused by Sunburst being Sunburst and Starlight being Starlight. Season 8 will break so many head canons and not just for these characters.

Honestly, that’s how I’ve always saw this situation. I think this whole thing is much more complicated than people think.

It’s a screwed up situation. None of them are the “Good” or “Bad” guy here.
