Moonshadow is Sugar Skull’s older cousin, and a big inspiration to Skully’s love for the gothic lifestyle. Even more into the goth life, Moonshadow was always what Sugar Skull would describe him to be the pony she always looked up to. Even if he didn’t seem like the best influence, she loved him like her favorite cousin. Whenever he came to visit Skull’s home, it was one of the few times where Sugar Skull would actually enjoy herself at home and be truly happy around someone else. After Skully got older, they lost communication with other, as their life styles just seemed to part ways…. Skully began to realize that Moonshadow was causing a lot of trouble for himself, and regardless that she worried about him, she just couldn’t force herself into his life, because he just would not listen to anything she had to say. A few years passed when Skully made the final assumption that he was just gone, or maybe even in jail; there was no doubt of this happening, anyway.
 
That was… until Moonshadow arrived in Ponyville, and during his trip he bumped into his younger cousin again. Now facing Moonshadow again, after all these years, she was too happy and blinded by the fact that her old childhood friend was back that Skully didn’t even realize that she would get herself into trouble with him, as Moonshadow had some mischievous plans himself that he wanted to partake in while he stayed in Ponyville…
