To be fair, the citizens of Ponyville aren’t the brightest.
I mean, unless AJ is constantly lying on her belly, she’s clearly at least three times as tall as the trees (and I think it’s actually about four), so I’m pretty sure you could spot her from near anywhere in Ponyville if you’re looking in the farm’s direction and don’t got any building immediately blocking your view. Even easier if you’re at any second/third floor altitude.
Seeing as no one seems to visit the farm, I don’t think they need to.
Considering her size, unless you can put a whole dome around ponyville that serves as fake sky, there’s no hiding a pony that big. ^^U
I think most of Ponyville isn’t aware outside of the Mane Six, and the farm is far away enough from Ponyville to work for now.
Well… that’s interesting, but whatever attemps Twilight has to keep this “a secret” seem to be… “futile” doesn’t even begin to cover it. ^^U
