@Background Pony #1FB7
To Serve Pony.
It’s quite possible that Starlight has allowed it to overheat to the point of cracking the block. Believe it or not, I had a girl in one of my high school classes who cracked the block in her Grand Am one evening, drove it home without noticing the fairly obvious symptoms, and then called myself and a classmate to come diagnose it for her the next morning when it wouldn’t start.
It’s a euro car, so there’s also a strong possibility that it had a timing chain and has bent valves, although I guess the car would try to start under those conditions. I have no ideas if actual IRL Volvos have timing chains or timing belts. Never owned one.
You’re right though, should have been some obvious red flags that the engine was on its way out.

Ah. Like cow pies. Got it.
Horse chips is another term for horse poop….
Cannibalism
The comment reminds me of the comic where Subset found out what marshmallows are made of
Spike: Yeah, Ember brought those from the dragon lands.
Starlight: Really? Then why are they called “Horse Chips”?
Spike shrugs and walks off
Starlight looks at the back of the bag
Starlight: Hmmmm, calories per serving . . . ingredients . . .OH SWEET CELESTIA! I-I’M SP-(vomits)!
I know, I’ve been reading it for a while, that’s why I’m saying it’s the usual kind of fan comic that doesn’t play around much with the conventions of the show. That kinda thing belongs to comics/stories that change up a lot more than carts with auto vehicles for gags.
I know you weren’t talking to me… and I don’t got anything to smack you around with, lol. But I am telling you as a reader… this is one of the few comic series I would really advise reading up on. Actually start from the beginning and capture all the lore and character development. There is a ton of it and it’s characterizations is second to none.
There’s so much detail in this series, a wiki has been created to try and detail even just some of all the details. A lot of stuff isn’t shoved in your face to see, a lot of it is secondary and you have to be alert to pick up on it… otherwise you come back wondering if you missed something. Trust me. If you like depth and comics, this is one to catch up on. :-) Hope you have a good day Toxicitzi.
make sure the new one is easily repairable, and has a replacable engine. a car like that is safe for genuine, long-lasting love.
Honestly, it is better to get a new car, swaps notwithstanding
You know, you lot are gonna give me an existential crisis over a point of a car engine repair instance, in a fictional comic, of a fictional show. I think the artist kinda wants that, but that’s another topic about the nature of this comic.
I don’t think I need to explain this, but just to avoid being told so or called lazy, here’s my half hearted rebuttal. The only thing different here are character interpretations, everything else is fluff.
If I’m wrong, lay it on me, bring me your meannest and largest volumes of tomes in the Adorkable Twilight and friends lore archives, teach me how far this universe goes, start with the pony who invented pavement, please.
If you bothered to check the whole series, you’d know. Adorkable Twilight & Friends is only derived from Friendship is Magic, with many of the characters having exaggerated traits that end up making them actually act differently. Cars are a part of this world, along with tanks, firearms and radios.
It’s mostly played for laughs because the whole series is designed to be funny.
was I supposed to know this particular comic has its own universe?
Oh my word… not talking about the tv show. Talking about the comic series. :-D The show isn’t this comic series. Totally different realities.
@Meanlucario
BMW? in the pony show?
also, I’m pretty sure I would remember Cadance or Shinng going in the Crystal Empire, or Canterlot in a Chysler Pacifica. I mean, that’d be fairly unmistakable. unless you meant, their human counterparts do that in eqg. Last I checked in eqg they don’t pull carts on their backs, because if we can make a mismatch of things, I wanna see the humans operating carts the same way ponies do, as seen here.
on all fours, carrying the cart with passengers and all.
I don’t know how to link in pictures apparently, I meant 2J swap.
Edited because: I can’t post pictures because I’m stupid
More like, “Haven’t seen an episode since ‘Every Little Thing She Does’.”
Yes they do. They’ve been seen all throughout the series. Octavia even has an older BMW looking thing. Shining Armor and Cadance have what appears to be a Chrysler Pacifica of sorts.

You haven’t seen an episode since season 5, have you?
