Blender cycles test. Decided to redo the older version of this render in cycles, because I felt like I could do better.
Dunno if it was worth the render time, but I guess it’s nice. Also had to do some post-processing for minor stuff.
The detail looks nice, but I’m still not pleased with the render so far.

Oh man…
I would totally lend the processing power of my 2 powerful video cards to help render pony projects :p
Problem is the amount of pony on render farms I believe is… Minimal..
My original intent was a 4k, 1 million plus polygon render. But the remaining time would have been more than a day, so I had to tone down mostly everything by half for about 9 hours.
The second render was for a mist, and blur overlay. I intentionally lowered the subsurf count, and samples there for a faster render, but it was still pretty slow.
Ouch, still great work.
Rendering this with integrated graphics twice made me feel like that, honestly. Took about 16 hours because I have a potato PC.
