If anything Storm King seemed like the opposite of Tirek. Stormy’s a snarky smartass villain who needs to go through an elaborate movie-length scheme to steal the Princess’ powers, while Tirek is a super-serious villain who effortlessly steals the powers of every pony closeby.

@Vinyl Fluff OR she was SO freaked out that she forgot that she even LEARNED the teleportation spell. Still, how is the Storm King similar to Tirek? And how are they related?

No, I mean there were multiple situations where a simple, basic teleport would’ve solved the immediate issue at hand. There were points where they were literally about to die, and nothing.
 
It was like they literally stripped her of all abilities other than telekinesis and blasting magic beams (that do nothing.)

I would’ve welcome that over what we got. A Twlight that can’t do anything but telekinesis and a few ineffective magic blasts.

If I didn’t know who the writer was, I would’ve questioned whether or not they actually saw a single episode of the show, and just got filled in on character traits from someone else.

Expectation: A bigger, better version of an episode of the show.
 
Reality: A movie that was more about the big name guest stars, out-of-character moments, and forgetting Twilight can do anything. I counted at least 5 different situations where a simple teleport would’ve solved a problem. but nope, let the cast play idiot ball for drama!
