I wouldn’t count on Babs being hated as much as Gilda. People hated Gilda because she picked on Fluttershy, and we all know how much people love Fluttershy. By contrast, MANY people hate the CMC, usually because the CMC are too dense to see what their actual talents are(carpentry/construction for Apple Bloom, singing for Sweetie, scooter riding for Scoots), they never understand thatand their crusade will probably never end. So I’d expect just as many people to go “Babs is best villain” or “ahahahaha, take that Cutie Mark Dumbasses”.

^Which makes sense, because of her voice.

I honestly have never heard of “Babs” until a few years ago. Even my grandma was named Barbara but no one ever called her Babs. :/

As far as I know, there’s no other reference. Though, I think they used Babs because it sounds close to “bad.” AKA, bad seed.

I’m not an english speaker, so I don’t understand what Babs mean.
 
I’ve searched on the internet and I found BAB means “Bad Ass Bitch” but I’m not sure that would be the true meaning.

Well well, after watching the preview I got something clear. This filly is goint to receive even more hate than Gilda, and that’s a lot of hate.
