The only problem I have with that scene is that the animators (and to an extent, the writers) decided to retcon Somnambula into that scene even though she was never mentioned in the Dazzlings’ backstory in Rainbow Rocks; This minor detail prevents me from considering EQG as canon.
 
So, until FIM releases an episode that directly ties the events of the two universes together (EX: Sunset making an actual appearance), the EQG series will forever remain in the realm of non-canon.

They dont care about continuity because they are toymakers,not writers or storytellers no matter how many trite YouTube videos with uplifiting stock music they release about “HOW THEY CARE ABOUT STORYTELLING” TM or bobmbarding themselves with bombastic and flashy title like showrunner as if they were real content creators and not admen.That should be clear now that they cant even respect the own title of their franchise

Can we please just drop it? The only people who aren’t convinced by now won’t be convinced by anything short of Sunset Shimmer crossing over to FiM, or an episode of FiM where characters go to the human world and learn what has happened there.

Tell me about it; even though it doesn’t hurt anything on FiM, a lot of people are so adamantly opposed to EqG that they can’t stand the thought of it actually being canon.

The rule is: Events from the show affect events in EqG, but not vice-versa. The sirens might have been established in Rainbow Rocks, but chronologically, this doesn’t break that rule.
