For my Next Gen AU, obviously based off of Be Prepared from The Lion King.  
I’m pretty damn proud of myself, to be honest, especially in regards to Chrysalis and the changelings. Not as happy with Sombra, and very unhappy with the background, but I didn’t want to use any F2U textures for this one. It’s all mouse, all me.
 
 
“Look at them.” Chrysalis’s seductive voice momentarily drew Sombra’s attention away from the changelings preparing for war. She sat beside her new husband and king, smiling proudly at her insectoid clone children. Their numbers had grown dramatically in the last few years, and now they had become what she predicted was a truly unstoppable force. It didn’t hurt that Sombra had nearly perfected his Crystal Beasts, of course. Such powerful creatures they were becoming.
 
Sombra let out what almost sounded like a purr of satisfaction. Perhaps it was more of a growl, rather. “For such pathetic-looking creatures, their potential at this size is truly impressive.” He couldn’t help but lick his lips in anticipation as he thought of what the near future would hold. With his new queen, his new army, and his new son, the future looked quite grand. They would soon have a kingdom, a castle, all their own.
 
At last, it was time. The changelings took to formation, no longer did they rush out in a cluster. Sombra took great pride in the order he enforced upon his new soldiers. Row by row, the changelings marched by their leaders, looking up at them as Sombra began to give his speech.
 
“REMEMBER, INSECTS. YOU STAND A CHANCE BECAUSE OF MY POWER. YOU DO NOT STARVE BECAUSE OF THE CRYSTAL PONIES I KEEP UNDER MY HOOVES. REMEMBER YOUR TRAINING. REMEMBER YOUR HISTORY. REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR BROTHERS. REMEMBER WHAT THOSE COLORFUL, FOOLISH LITTLE PONIES DID TO YOU, YOUR KIN, AND TRIED TO DO TO YOUR QUEEN. DESTROY THE ELEMENTS OF HARMONY, AND ALL OF EQUESTRIA WILL FALL AS OUR SLAVES! STICK WITH ME, AND YOU’LL NEVER GO HUNGRY AGAIN!”
 
They gave their fiercest war cries and flew from the cave in which they had been hiding for many years, as Sombra turned to leave the ridge. Chrysalis gave him a disapproving eyebrow raise. “That was quite the way to discredit your queen for all of her hard work.”
 
Sombra smirked. “It got them moving, didn’t it?
 
“Eugh. You and your damn ego.” She grumbled, following him and her soldiers out to the battlefield.
