Frankly, the whole exhibit doesn’t make too much sense. It’s less “science” and more “rocks do neat stuff.”
They have the bones around because of fossilization involving mineralization of organic material. They also had a volcano, because those basically make rocks. lol.
“Hey, this painting by Van Goh(horsepun’d) shows bones in the ground. Will that work for your presentation?”
“Sure.”
But what would be the POINT of putting a skeleton of a fictional animal alongside skeletons of real animals (since this is clearly the paleontology section)?
Yes, it would make a fun little easter egg, but how are people at the museum supposed to know that alicorns don’t exist (unless the painting has a disclaimer underneath)?
I mean, museums do have paintings in them. Often of fictional depictions. As long as the painter was of historical significance, like Michelangelo or DaVinci.
So, someone in this world with horsepun names for places imagined an alicorn skeleton in the ground among other skeletons. I think this proves the existence of alicorns in this world about as much as it proves their existence in our world.
I think the alicorns have only longevity
There’s a thing called forced perspective.
We don’t know how far away the wall is, so it’s a little difficult to know the exact size of the skeleton.
Alicorns can die confirmed
Alicorns in the Human world confirmed
They sure all LITTLE ponies!
