But more to the point: what happens in the main show always affects Equestria Girls, but what happens in Equestria Girls has miniminal impact on the main show.

The post the mods deleted (what’s “rule 0”? “Don’t compare MLP to the Marvel Cinematic Universe”?) was me comparing this situation to the relationship between the MCU movies and the MCU TV shows. The MCU movies always affect the TV shows, but the MCU movies only barely acknowledge the existance of the MCU TV shows. That’s why, for example, Tina Minoru from “Doctor Strange” later shows up as a major player in “Runaways”, but in the movies Phil Coulson remains dead.

The main MLP show and Equestria Girls have the same relationship. This scene with the Dazzlings is the MLP equivalent of the Red Room from “Agent Carter” showing up in “Age of Ultron”.

Deletion reason: Rule #0 - keep your personal feuds personal & Rule #6 - your fanfic has nothing to do with this tweet.

That is a weird comparison. Since for the most part every reviewer is doing his own thing with the occasional crossovers to promote each other. And it’s been a long time since they had an large event where everyone (or at least everyone who wanted and had time) appeared in. But many of the original reviewers have left the site or are inactive. But that’s too offtopic.

Another good example is Atop the Fourth Wall VS the rest of the Channel Awesome Universe.

Everything that happens in the rest of the Channel Awesome shows is canon to Atop the Fourth Wall. Outside AT4W, however, shows don’t usually follow a strict canon, and they only barely acknowledge Linkara’s stuff as canon. That’s why AT4W is chock full of contunity that the rest of the shows don’t follow (the Plot Hole and its eventual fate, Demo Reel, Angry Video Game Nerd killing off Freddy Krueger, the events of Suburban Knights).

Same thing here. The main show is canon to Equestria Girls, but Equestria Girls is only barely canon to the main show.

Actually, events from the movies have had a huge effect on at least one TV series, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Having not seen the others, I can’t vouch for them, though I’ve read that the aftermath of the first Avengers movie played a fairly large role in the beginning of Daredevil.) The TV shows will never affect the movies, though. I think the analogy works if you compare the movies to FiM and the shows to EqG.

Have you seen the episode yet where Milo goes back to 1960? Spoiler alert: A character from Phineas and Ferb shows up at the end of that episode, which sets the stage for the crossover that’ll air sometime early next year.

No, in terms of animated comedy cartoon shows, it’s like “Milo Murphy” and “Phineas and Ferb”.

The events of “Phineas and Ferb” certainly happened in the contunuity of “Milo Murphy”, but nothing from “Phineas and Ferb” is gonna affect “Milo Murphy” at all.

Oh, look. It’s a teen Starlight Glimmer. They say if one studies hard enough in Equestria Girls they can become the Teenager King/Queen.

it only remains in speculations …
the comics are canon?
the comics are also inconsistent, sunset came to the human world with its current age while in the film is seen in the pictures that was in school for years
