And as mentioned before how are they any different to what we used to collect.

A trend within a trend, we must go deeper…
Some hate trendy things like fidget spinners. Which is funny, ’cause MLP was kinda a trend too.
Yeah, I’m glad they didn’t go the “Skylander” route, or something requiring you to buy them…
Still, playing with them, and leveling ’em up is oddly addictive.
that and the they unlock more than just a being able to play as a character that’s already in the game

That’s what I said!
Heck, Amiibo are already losing popularity. Still, it’s kinda nice to actually own SSB “trophies” IRL now.
I remember when i was in Middle School Doctor Who battles in time cards was popular i remember collecting them and trading numbers of a students however I recently got a two packs in a mystery box full of overstock because nobody was buying them and after checking the prices on eBay I discovered that that almost worthless and ain’t worth the time it would take to sell

@Mr. Horrible
Yeah, I used to play with pogs all the time in elementary school with friends.
I’m not sure if this is what they were made for, but we used to hit them with other pogs, until they flipped and we earned them, they were the essential entertainment toys back then, they were easy to get, they were fun to play with, everyone had them and if you had a bunch, you were the man.
and it’s not like we didn’t collect any dumb shit when we were children
Pogs was bits of cardboard with Staples
Except pogs were awesome, not this silly kiddie crap.

Also when I was young one collectible was little aliens in eggs with goo that had another smaller alien that you could squeeze out.
the goo actually ended up staining one of my duvet covers
Pretty sure our parents had them as well
Heck, they’re bringing back Tomogachis.
@Alex Vostox
It says “Hasbro” on the package sooooo…
