They’re out of sync with the music that’s why, they hit the apex of their movement on the back of the beat. The captain hits right on the beat which makes their offness come out even more.

Aye. I’m not sure what about it causes the other two to look strange. Part of it may be the hand placement, part may be the bouncy and somewhat quick style, and part may be how the head is turned at an odd angle.
