That’s not quite true. Yes the Xindi arc was a step in the right direction, and Manny Coto taking the reigns in S4 turned Enterprise into what it should’ve been the entire time; but overall the show was considered a letdown by a lot of fans, though I myself have a soft spot for it because I watched it until the end. It was only after it was cancelled that it started getting much greater appreciation, even for the first two seasons that very few people liked back when they aired.
I distinctly remember how people online felt when Enterprise was finally cancelled: relief that Star Trek was getting a break, especially after Nemesis (something else that’s gained appreciation as time has gone on). These days however, everyone likes to act that Enterprise was some underappreciated gem that was cancelled too soon, and that it’s a really good show even in the first two seasons with the godawful temporal cold war arc.
My point being is that once something is finished, for whatever reason, then it’ll gain appreciation as time passes. Hell, you see this with MLP itself with people showing fondness for S3 and 4, even though if you look at pictures on this very site from around the time those seasons aired, people didn’t really care for those seasons.
Views on Star Trek Enterprise changed long before Discovery or even the new timeline movies were a thing. The series started gaining popularity around the third season or so and many were dismayed when it was cancelled.
Don’t worry, once G5 rolls around everyone will have nothing but nice things to say about the entirety of G4. The Star Wars prequels were hated until [insert your least favourite Disney Wars movie here], and both Star Trek Enterprise and Voyager were hated until Discovery was released.
Thank you. This isn’t the place to discuss how “perfect” the early seasons were or complain about how the show has since “gone downhill”. Let’s just celebrate this milestone in MLP: FiM’s history.
Never said I hated the more recent seasons, just that Season 1 was different to the rest. 4 is my second-favourite season if you’re wondering.
Well said, bruva.
He’s right, though.
So you hate Twilight’s ascension. Equestria Girls. Twilight’s castle. Starlight Glimmer. Flurry Heart. Whatever. The show is still here 7 years after it all began, no thanks to the non-stop whining and complaining from certain people, some of whom hate the show, some of whom hate what it’s become.
None of that matters because 7 years ago, a magical journey began, and it’s still going.
There’s probably an alternate timeline where we all became successful business men/carpenters because we didn’t watch the show :/

yea, thats true
now i wonder what would the show be whitout this comunity, i mean, we are the ones who buys their movie tickets, merchandice, watching the episodes as soon they air, etc
so, if we never existed, and the community was never created, what would mlp be right now? maybe it died at S3, maybe no movies were created?
makes you wonder about the posibilities
I’m honestly surprised it’s lasted this long, most animated shows die off long before a 7th season.
@Background Pony #645E
LE FUNE ME LEL XDDDD IM SO MATURE XDDD
i wonder how much will it last, or how long before the writers run out of ideas

Another brave background pony. You must be new here. Censoring words with “yay” goes back to the first season. It’s done for humor, not for legitimate censoring. You can still fucking swear. “Kid”.
>it’ll never last
>show for babies and manchildren
WHAT NOW FyayERS?! IT’S STILL HERE! CAN’T STOP THE PONY TRAIN!
