I don’t know what that means
So.. Thats like 10% better than Starlight. But still really bad.
She and her friends dreamed of going to Celestia’s school but she couldn’t because she cant levitate all of her friends were accepted and they said they’d come to visit her but she never saw them again.
It’s like she’s the Nagato compared to Starlights Obito.
I guess….? I can understand it just as well as Starlight’s.
Edit: yeah the motivation for helping storm king is good. But her actual backstory that made her so bitter etc. Is just as bad as Starlight.
Edited
I thought her backstory was alright, not great but you could at least understand her motivation compared to Starlight.
No, you should be able to know the character from a movie without reading extra information. I’m not going to buy a book for that.
Did you read the book it expands heavily on her backstory.
Let’s agree to disagree then. I was majorly dissapointed at such a sucky backstory.
Yeah I’m not touching that.
Sadly there are still people out there who will complain and whine about anything that’s post-Starlight or post-Twicorn, no matter how good it is. Case in point…
I’mma disagree with you there and say she had the best backstory and redemption having seen the movie.
And then it turns out she has at least just a bad backstory as Starlight.
That implies she has neither.
To be honest, as soon as I heard Tempest would get redeemed and the Storm King die, I wasn’t all that hyped about the movie anymore. I still respect Disney’s Aladdin—the first one—where neither villain died and both were punished.

They must have taken a note from the Lord of the Rings.
But I will say one thing; the reason I don’t buy it and don’t think it works is because even with that motivation the big baddy promised, it still provides no explanation, it never explained why Tempest enjoyed doing what she did at all, she never wonders “Am I doing the right thing?”, or “isn’t there another way?” she only snaps/turns when it’s a lie and it turns out whatever hopes and dreams she has was ruined.
Having a different opinion doesn’t mean I’m “in denial”. Oh when did it become such a crime to have one?
And i loved it.
That applies to every situation though.
Hardy har har. Very funny. I can ALWAYS contradict people on denials.
