Filly Fizzie makes me wanna cry. The poor, poor child. I wanna hug her until everything’s okay.

“It’s your horn, isn’t it.  
Like, you’ve been saying “something” all vague but I can see it right there.

She seemed to be in a town, possibly in an orphanage, and during a game of ball tossing, the ball rolled into a cave. She followed it (her “friends” goading her into it) and when she found the ball, she also found the ursa minor. She tried to stand up to it but it smashed her head with a single swipe, scarring her face and smashing off her horn. She escaped with her life and the ball (somehow) but due to her broken horn, could no longer do normal things with her magic other than wild, horrifying electrical-type shocks. She tried to lift the ball and just fried it instead and her “friends” ditched her since she couldn’t play games with them anymore.

We know from one of the existing books that she broke it and got the scar while trying to run away from an ursa minor while she was a filly.

how did her horn break? i hope we find out in the movie, were not gonna know are we?

Because long flashbacks in the middle of important events are terrible, and bring the pace to a shuddering halt.

I’m sure she’ll explain her backstory at some point, but this is a slightly more detailed look.

why cant they show this in the movie? in the 80s and 90s you’d see this all the time in movies and tv shows why’d we stop?

She use magic but she can’t fine-tune it or use any spells. Earlier in the book it’s just a burst of raw mana that goes everywhere.
