Yeah. But this scene was cut. And the final draft does still have one hippogriff along with Capper and the pirates helps the Mane Six fight the Storm King and his Storm Army and save Equestria from the Storm King’s tyranny while Celestia and Luna were still petrified into a statue and still overthrown by the Storm King.

That would be cool to see. And yes, the final version did have the Mane Six get some help from A hippogriff, so their mission was sort of a success in the end. Of course, you also have to take into consideration what could have ended up happening.

You know the final version of the film only led one hippogriff swoop in to save Equestria. And that hippogriff was Princess Skystar. I bet Skystar someone does her powerful wings the battle the Storm Creatures in the climax of the film.

The Royal Sisters would have gotten to fight too instead of getting taken out easily(INFRONT OF EVERYONE IN EQUESTRIA)?  
That just stings..  
Why didn’t they go through this idea? Clearly they could have saw that a lot of people(I think) were pissed that the Royal Sisters got worf effect-ed again.  
It still stung so much on how Luna got shafted like that to me..

God this concept looks so awesome that Im genuinely pissed off by looking at it because of how much better the movie could’ve been. The Princesses fighting with the hippogriffs and the mane six sound incredible! The fact that this wasn’t the final product drives me nuts.

I like Celestia leading the mane six to attack Storm King at the top that would be awesome if that’s still in the movie…. but I doubt it is because the writers don’t like Celestia to get any awesome scenes.

Hippogryphs are better than mane6 anyways and it would have been far more realistic… But hey, it is MLP so what did you expect? Quality? Logic? Common sense? Naw, more OP ponies saving the world. Whatever!

Hippogriffs already replaced sea ponies, it’d not be that surprising to find they’ve been given the Flutterponies’ powers as well. Plus, The Movie also includes a Catrina surrogate as well. ;3
